The Nguni cattle from the Makatini region have been selected by nature through the ages to perform under exceptionally difficult conditions.
These cattle are known for their fertility, hardiness and adaptability, achieved largely through natural selection.
Mike Greyling handpicked a herd of these outstanding cattle from their natural surroundings, over a period of two years. His aim is to keep the MAK herd as a pure Makatini herd.
